Hi! My name is Dawn Speidel and I am one of the Intervention Specialists for Imagine Sullivant. I will primarily be working with the students needing Special Education services in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. This is my third year at Imagine, but my 20th year teaching. For 17 years I taught in a classroom for children with disabilities. The past 2 years I was a 4th grade general education teacher here at Imagine Sullivant. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from West Liberty State College and my two Master’s Degrees from the University of Dayton and West Virginia University.
I have been married for 18 years to my husband, Jamison, and have a son, Joey, who is 13 and in the 8th grade and a daughter, Sarah, who is 12 years old and in 7th grade. I also have my furry baby, Max, who is a 6 year old pure bred beagle and our Syrian hamster, Peanut, who is now 2 ½ years old. J
In my time outside of work, I do consulting work with kids on the Autism Spectrum that are home schooled in Fairfield County. I am usually running around to my children’s various events (travel softball, Boy Scouts) and playing video games with my son. My family also likes to travel A LOT. This past summer we took a family vacation that took us to 12 states in 10 days and covered 2,600 miles of driving. When I am not running around with my kids, I love to relax at home with a good book on my iPad. I am very excited to be here at Imagine with an amazing group of people. This is going to be a GREAT year! We are Imagine!
