The students at Imagine Sullivant participated in Jump Rope for Heart in late February,a community service learning program of the American Heart Association.
It teaches kids:
• the importance of developing heart-healthy habits; • that being physically active can be fun; and • that by raising funds to support research and education they help save lives across the country and in their community.
This year Imagine Sullivant raised $531 for during Jump Rope for Heart. Since 1978, Jump Rope For Heart has raised more than $810 million for research and educational programs.
The students took part in a "Penny Challenge" fundraiser in which they used pennies to vote for a teacher in which to tape to the wall. The winner of the challenge was 4th/5th grade teacher Mrs. Weber. Check out the pictures of the event!
