Educational Program
Here at Imagine Academy at Sullivant, the student is the heart and soul of each program. We use Differentiated Instruction to meet each child where they are currently and take them to where they need to be. Differentiated Instruction is grounded in the fact different students learn differently; students bring various levels of knowledge based on their past experiences and education, many options help mold the curriculum to the child. Differentiated Instruction blends many practices such as learning centers, group work, individual instruction, homework and class work to give the students the best tools possible to succeed.
Targeting Every Student
In differentiated instruction; instruction is individualized for each student, the teacher targets every learner with a specified educational plan. These targeted plans utilize the student's strengths while working through the student's weaknesses. Targeting each learner ensures that all learners, including students with learning disabilities, are able to learn and master the educational concepts.
Curriculum
Imagine Academy at Sullivant relies on the nationally developed Common Core State Standards. We use the following approaches/programs to aid instruction:
Teachers use a combination of a Balanced Literacy approach and a Guided Reading Approach to teach English Language Arts. We offer school wide Title-1 services, Special Education, and ESL classes.

In Mathematics, we have adopted engageNY. This program has been carefully researched and offer a wide variety of options, including a wide variety of Technology components.

Teachers also utilize Imagine Schools Standards Based Curriculum as well as Imagine Schools Academic Framework. Imagine Central Ohio/Indiana region created a Pacing Guide that matches the Common Core State Standards which is used in all classrooms. At Imagine Academy at Sullivant, we use state developed standards to teach Science and Social Studies. We also offer Physical Education, Art, Library and Technology classes, in addition to have SMARTboards in every classroom and two traveling laptop carts that contain twenty-five computers each. We have an up to date computer lab.
